West Sound automotive has been in Kitsap County since 1951. It started out as Georges Chevron on the corner of Silverdale Way and Bucklin Hill. The Chevron was a full service gas station and repair shop for many years. Serving the community and the customers was the main goal of the business and still is. Many of the customers that started back then or their families are still loyal customers.

Georges Chevron was sold in 1990 to Bill Stuart and was moved to an East Bremerton location, with a name change, until the snow took the building down. What an exciting time, the building which was only 4 years old looked like a twisted pretzel. With help from the crew and friends the shop was relocated to its current location in only two weeks after the snow disaster. Even then the customers followed the crew. There had been many changes, such as name, location and ownership. Then in 1997 the business was sold to the current and happy owners, Doug and Debbie Thumma.

Doug took control having had over 15 years technician experience and service writer for 8 years for the former owner. At that time Debbie decided to join the business full time with a back ground in sales, real estate sales to be exact.

Ever since the purchase the main goal for Doug and Debbie has never changed, customer service and satisfaction. It is always top priority the customer leave happy and knowing the job is done right and at a fair price.

West Sound Automotive always has special promotions and offers for the customers. There is a clean waiting room, TV and magazines if you need to wait, or if you prefer, shuttle service is provided in the greater Silverdale, Bremerton, Poulsbo area with notice. Doug will always work to make your check in experience a comfortable one, he will listen to your concerns and keep you completely up to date on the progress of the diagnosis and repairs. The certified technicians will take the time needed to make the right diagnoses and correct repair the first time.
